    Fitness

Fitness is a central theme of Darwinian natural selection. Fitness of the individual is a theme one comes across. How did this thing go to social Darwinism, the fighting of groups, consequently the aryan , dravidian races, and almost denial of Bharat, its people and culture - until westernized is a mystery. That is what our colonial administrators did, and it has been a major influence since.

The relation between Darwin's postulation and social Darwinism of the racist progressivism is obvious subversion. Fitness creates structures.  The progressive leftists opportunists  are generally a fixated lot, their imagined structure is rock solid. From here onwards, the discussion is wide open as the world-  as lengthy as the distance between starting and ending points of the earth - structures evaluates to a fitness.  Focus on better utility, therefore contributes to the structure geared towards the same - until fundamentally it is sound. Some people possibly done the reverse to structures, searched the missing fitness of their own world. Colonial period for example created a popular argument against hinduism, starting with Brahmins in particular about the lack the utilitarian value or fitness. That argument could be quite strong when the entire focus is on utility, as would have been during the worst famines of early 20th century. It however makes an assumption of structure - a cosmological structure is not geared for localized maximums of certain utilities. Further, Darwin's structure was not a competition between linier rational pretension of history Vs a cosmological framework that assumed millions of years.

On a side note :- I find economists like Amartya Sen  have a word of criticism against utilitarian formulations -This  May  merely  be because  the latter is adopted  in competitive postulations of capital . Mr Sen, however, one may guess to be  happy about such formulations, if  it was to deride the native stories as failing utility value from  Eurocentric perspectives, such as espoused by colonial masters. I think Amartya Sen silently accepted the rational pretension of colonial story perpetrated on India. In fact leftists were buying the slanders of Mills to atheist libraries when they were preoccupied with history .

    The admonition by NY Times

This editorial wishes for a social contract - "The social contract and the government’s role in it should be examined anew" . This in reality means trillions of dollars from USA finding its way to socialist groups, support for ragtag maoist killer preaching morality from high pedestral . "equity of opportunity" - That in the land of opportunities means more elevating platform for quota Raj in developing countries.

    Free knowledge, Managed labour ?

Knowledge as free has been an influential movement. Just like free software, this has been possible by corporations or individuals who have put in a lot of effort into the actual material. There has been under-the-hood politics also, of controlling a framework and worries about copyright and proprietary rights. In the Realm of software, free software was always beaten by Microsoft, and SUN...except the ones created by prestigious universities. After linux, which owes most to the university, it may be perceived that  it was SUN, IBM Google that have taken these concepts to new heights - they have their own reasons and corporate ideas. GPL has been political voice , a community and a legal framework, it has a distinct impression on the free software and  has also been a contentious idea to some- It has heaped derision on many, its web site would advise not to fall in the "Java trap" - though there are not many who have paid for downloading Java.

I have been thinking like a leftist - in a opposite way - It is the thought about "The free labour"!  Having wrote that, it appears shocking, like espousing bondage and political incorrectness of a naive logical construction such as free labour. The next paragraph is written to extricate me out of political incorrectness. It is interesting however, to observe - how a  lot gets explained when one thinks to oppose the free labour - for the first time I could see how  'intellectual' could be less than a pshycopath, and still could argue that  the machines are value of accumulative  labour. Wasn't it absurd that man able think  to  link machines, depreciations with labour ? Instead now it looks surprising with the circular foolishness. The intellect was assumed to be freed - say it is fine, the labour was assumed to appropriately valued - it is still better, But look the reality - the intellect has actually become devious, it is pretending to serve the labour king, it is not freed ! Look the labour has not been valued properly, the value has gone to tauts of collectives labour,  which is considered more valuable, and then the defenders of collective labour - still more valuable, so on.....It is a mess churning for its own shake. The intellect is buried, rather than freed, the labour is serving Jehad - God only knows if it is for its own survival or for global victory - The revolutions have been touted as the motto by the marxist faithfuls.  The slave intellect created utopian promises, and then a creating another misleading and  changed utopian  promise for it is in bondage, not freed as was assumed. The labour is bonded by organized, the self serving national and international union mafia  have denied work to hungry and needy in their own state, unless they are members and pay a jijia tax to the unions.

To extricate me, as promised at the thought of free labour :-

This is a contentious subject put in terms of political freedom- whose sensitivity has no relevance to the daily world of pains and frustrations. However it  warrants enough care. Microsoft - the devil - asides, has microsoft contributed to popularizing the computing ? One, who has lived through the relevant years, has unquestionably grown with PC - Even those who worked on high end stuff, bought a PC for their family. Has Java mounted one of the most serious challenge to Microsoft in its gloriest days- Yes. People generally haven't paid for Java applets. Did X11 contribute to the free software, when software  was really really costly - yes. This is to put in a hypothetical world, if the GPL alternate Java implementation   becomes the dominant version of the future,  Even if such free software happens, lack of free software wouldn't conclude devil days for above reasons. [ Personally I have been trying to use  SUN, Google, Linux  products for years, but in reality, I am using MS ]

The mere examination of free labour, and the examination  of absence of free knowledge therefore doesn't equate to the worst derision imaginable. Rather this is to bring in the context of Exploition of the labor, which has been a major issue of the global left. This is accompanied by exploition of the knowledge by the marxists - they usually are very strict about the message/academics that can have negative political impact, sometimes it means subverting the academics by demanding adherence to marxist political dogma . I am not sure from where did Marx got his infatuation with labor...it could nothing be more than ramblings of a man let lose.  why he made it a central theme in his postulation. Considering the disdain, one may wonder, where the  puritanical revolutionary rationalism stands with marxism .

In a radical progressive world, what purpose the knowledge could solve, when prophetic progressivism is considered determined towards the salvation or utopia. What could then be knowledge, if it is not about understanding the prophetic messages. The nature of prophetic messages needs a serious study, rather than its supposedly message.

The consequence of prophetic message of utopia,  apparently delivered for guarding the message has huge costs. It reduces knowledge to the category of air, water...natural commodities as may be existing in a natural history. Thus the knowledge is claimed to free, reservation seems to valid to these category. The knowledge that they must guard, that must prove to be costly however is the preservation of supposedly natural history, that befalls in every individual, just as sun light has no escape from an open field. Thus the marxist may resist the desecration of his foolishness - the natural history of aryan invasion and natural progress to utopia.  For brilliance in computer science and system studies etc, marxists have belittled it. At the dawn of Indian software phenomena, some leftists called Indian programmers code-coolies, and belittled it. The ones who achieved well in academics were often called as doing it due to privilege only - ignoring the indian and hindu tradition of education( If the economics explanation is true, the Pakisthanis would be doing better than the Bengali tauts..history based intellectuals  in the USA).

Beyond the natural history, of course the overt display for the marxist is the state power. This is the value of organized labor - if the organization can feed and bribe an entire middle class, then the marxist got so many activists. Control over organized labour, contempt of knowledge because of radical history is the marxist strategy. Sometimes it may just work with devastating surrender to marxist dogmas.

It will be good to reduce the bribes they offer through organized state and labour, and also to expose how the marx's natural history is the whim of a looser - a looser who would have been massacred by the anti-semites of national socialist germany- the enemies enemy of marxists.

The mosaic of leaders, the intellectuals ...

The speech delivered before bigger and yet bigger audience, more of peasants receiving the message might have been considered a bizzare spectacle at certain age. During a recent visit to Assam, one learned that there the Congress chief Minister had canceled state govt bus from normal routes...that is to disrupt the normal schedule of the people and ferry more bus loads of population into a rally of Ms Sonia Gandhi. The Speech of Barack Obama is Berlin was a subject of celebrity gossip, it was not clear if Germans were receiving the message from Mr Obama or they were listening to rock concert - But the intention of organizers  on delivering a supposedly message by leader and presidential looking candidate to massive population was rather clear. To deliver the message to massive crowd of peasants via a speech is part of marxist folklore. The christian church has the work  delivering message, though it is through permanent congregations.

In these political folkores, the speech and its  delivery to a peasants and economic and social sinners listening with attention is symbol of  powerful leader. Some times the leader would organize...20th century has suffered the worst by national organizing, millions have left their own village across boundary of the nations - sometimes to make village by village ideologically pure, as happened in the land of pure, the Pakisthan. Sometimes they just  headed into the concrete puzzles of  mega cities - initially with a promise to get back, sometimes, later getting half-civilized, sympathizing and patronizing back ...[An odia-Bengali immigrant to USA once gave a serious thought of underdevelopment of people back home, for  they remove  the stink from the  buttom using water instead of keeping it...that is he wondered how could people be developed when they still use water, instead of  the  paper  napkins in the toilet.]

That is thanks to the leaders, change happened and the under civilized peasants were transformed by the leaders into politicians. The planning of peasants, that  supposedly was envisioned or in cases merely patronized by leaders of lesser stature, was proved to mean  and corrupt. Broken countries erupted with poverty and suffocation.  The messages of the planning and hopes of  Utopian consequences is discredited. The change, this time is to the message rather than the peasant. The planning is no more top-down, 21st century top-down planning is called buttom-up. It is 'revolutionary' - Because the rational  of mega planning is already discredited and the the message of the wannabe leaders lacks construction. The revolutionary, buttom-up process is manned by activists, who sell hope and progress  with  all the ferocity, now that foundations of planned logic lacks clarity.  The button-up planning is a wonderful concept for the leaders, it pushes a lot of responsibility to the petty-intellectual - called activists, for policing the communities. The age of promise of free rice was  not always enough keep the peasants and sinners grateful and obedient to the leader.  Top-down planning was too risky...Oh boy, it almost cost the utopia.

Now the unthinkable- a thought on the Intellectuals, rather than the left over humans  !

The intellectual could be a leader,  some dream to be one - delivering liberating speeches. On the other hand, A  pshyco, who talks to and understands of  himself could be an intellectual too, though in reality most intellectuals talk and understand little bit of  Europe.

Sometimes intellectuals deliver the message to lesser intellectuals  and that is their glory.[Though it could be  uncivil to speak so, for all intellectuals are equal to each other].

To the question of where the intellectuals get the message -   practically this is an irrelevant question. [ There was a dumb dumb due process of reference, and scientific attitude. About the science -The most influential scientific experiment in India that our intellectuals relied upon  seems to be the measurement of skull sizes to understand hypothetical biblical races ] .  The message is to appear genuine with a leader when delivered to masses waiting liberation(secular and economic!) ...It should appear, self evident and historical, that - the message is proved by proving its opposition as deamons, infidels, heathens, devils, kafirs, feudals, racist and casteist.  [The self evident part  is  important for the intellectual to avoid the irrational - Uncertain, unpredictable and hence  unscientific   universe of the primitives], and there the political power is needed by the intellectuals, the church, the ideologues...The argument is not won until its opposition is proved to be dark , thus  arguments can't be won for these leaders by a meditative Brahmin or Monk . Consequently the history professor if JNU is far more important to the leader, just because he can create a pop argument for him.

The adherence to the due process of reference and arguments  makes two types of intellectual, the radical revolutionary ones, and the orthodox ones. Practical issues asides, the revolutionary argument works in a predictive world where the due process is superfluous for the developed progressive who already have controlled the history and the conclusion, he shouldn't waste his time to attain the utopia. As destructive as it sounds, these revolutionary intellectuals will create more arguments for the state power machine, and therefore will more influence. The weakness of revolutionary intellectual is that he is too Dependant on selling hope in an uncertain world.  Documenting the due processes, its disadvantages and its subversion may be a good idea.

    Socialist purposes

This article has some forceful  quotes which are  socialist purposes.

"Radicalism is a cause whose utopian agendas result in an ethic where the ends outweigh and ultimately justify any means.  Like the Salvationist agendas of jihad, the Left's apocalyptic goal of ‘social justice' is the equivalent of an earthly redemption.  A planet saved, a world without poverty, racism, inequality, or war - what means would not be justified to achieve such millennial ends?"

Some of these purposes remained in rhetoric of power grabbing politicians when socialism meant poverty, lack of purpose and corruption.  The purpose of brotherhood national  communes that remained as blind as a corpse when  millions were  made to move to national commune of brotherhood. When environment set against  development, When all powerful state fed and transferred its mechanical subjects into grandiose and ossified concrete who later visited as a tourist to see a human standing barefooted on mother earth.

The ever alluding purpose of millennial ends has been oppressed too - when  hizacked by the so called revolutionaries and the  politicians to concert them in  their enjoyment.  The purpose has been as stupid as a commodity, it has been sold around and exchanged with utility measures. This mAyAbi has posed as  tormentor to disarm  the Khyatriya in  sea,  it has  posed as  Urbashi ,  embraced the Brahmin - who has lost his meditation, since captured  in  changing reflections of marichikA(mirage)  . [ Jai SriRama]

    The infamous Alinsky methods:

"Do one of three things.  One, go find a wailing wall and feel sorry for yourselves.  Two, go psycho and start bombing -- but this will only swing people to the right.  Three, learn a lesson.  Go home, organize, build power and at the next convention, you be the delegates." (emphasis in original)
      - Saul Alinsky; Rules for Radicals; p. xxiii

A Description of leftists - David Horowitz thinks the leftists are not laws of history !:

"Like the slowly metamorphosing monster of a horror film, the Left has actually been recreating itself during its apparent dormancy since the end of the Sixties, succeeding so well that now it has reappeared stronger than ever.  If there is a cyclical dynamic at work in this rebirth, it has less to do with the laws of history than with the laws of Leftism, which since 1917 has alternated between styles of militant extremism and ‘popular front' moderation.  The current revival will not bring a revolutionary army into the streets, as in the Sixties.  It will involve an offensive of ‘progressivism' whose targets are the Democratic Party, the church, the universities, and various liberal institutions."
      -
    Destructive Generation; p. 218

I seem to like quotes from  David Horowitz- he was apparently trying to move the world once upon a time. Now he writes:

"The Greek scientist Archimedes said, ‘Give me a lever and a place to stand and I will move the world.'  This is an archetype of the radical outlook, both secular and religious, which believes it has identified an institution and an agency that will move the world.  The radical Islamist believes that by conquering nations and instituting Sharia, he can redeem the world for Allah. The socialist's faith is in using state power and violent means to eliminate private property and thereby usher in the millennium."

    About the
Judeo/Christian morals that the linked article mentions - This is more about confident reflections of a 'good' person,  rather than  universal reflections. The evangelical christians work with the socialist maoist faithfuls in creating some of the most violent movements on earth. They think more ambitiously than the Greek Scientist Archimedes - They think to lift the dead corpses of world to the  heaven  and cajole the population to stand on the handle of church. The role of the church has been questioned during the Nazi regime,  the conflict between hutus and tutsis, spreading of  canards  and slander for conversion in developing countries .
